Do credits expire?+
No. Credits you purchase never expire. Use them at your own pace.
What happens when I run out of credits?+
OTP send requests will fail with an INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS error. Your application receives a clear error code so you can handle it gracefully, and we email you before you get there — set a low-balance threshold per project. Top-ups are arranged with your account manager.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes — test mode is always free. With test mode API keys (sk_test_…), no real SMS is sent and no credits are deducted. The response shape is identical to live mode, so you can fully integrate before spending anything.
How does test mode work?+
Any API key prefixed with sk_test_ is in test mode. Requests are validated and processed exactly as live requests, but the SMS is intercepted by a null provider — nothing goes out, and credits are not consumed. Switch to a live key (sk_live_…) to send real messages.
Are there international SMS rates?+
Prices shown are for Malaysian (+60) numbers. Other destinations cost us substantially more and are handled case by case — talk to us before you integrate one.
Do you support bulk sending?+
TACNow is designed for transactional OTP messages, not bulk campaigns. Per-project rate limits apply (configurable from 1 to 1,000 per minute). For bulk volumes, contact us about a partnership arrangement.
How do I buy credits?+
Talk to our team. We set up your account, agree a bundle, and send you an invoice — pay by bank transfer, FPX, or DuitNow. Credits are added to your organisation wallet once payment clears, and every project you run draws on that same balance. You can top up at any time.
